Notre Dame's soccer team dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to visiting Lafayette on Friday night.

The Bulldogs (7-7) posted their only goal when Bryce Willen scored with 4:30 left in the second half to send the game to overtime.

Chris Bartelsmeyer scored for Lafayette, located in west St. Louis County, to end the game in overtime.

"I was very pleased with how we played tonight," Notre Dame coach Brad Wittenborn said. "We really hung in there and played maybe our best game of the year."

Willen's goal was assisted by Mark Unterreiner.

JV -- Notre Dame beat Lafayette 3-1. Goals: Ty Williams (2), Ryan Willen; Assists: Williams, Richard Marquart and Chris McMillan.

Rockwood Summit 2, Central 0

Central was shut out by Rockwood Summit, visiting from Fenton, Mo.

The Tigers fell to 10-5 with the loss.

JV -- Central (5-1-1) tied Lafayette 1-1. Goal: Matt Hester; Assist: Ben Patrick.

VOLLEYBALL Bloomfield 25-18-25 Advance 23-25-17

Advance dropped to 11-9-1 with a home loss to Bloomfield.

The leaders for Advance were Kaci Cooper (15 kills, two blocks) Angela Broshuis (seven digs) and Kaci Ritter (11 assists).

Eagle Ridge Chrstn. 25-25 Murphysboro Chrstn. 23-18

Eagle Ridge Christian School picked up a win over the visitor from Murphysboro, Ill.

Chelsey Clark served six aces and had two kills for Eagle Ridge. Savanna Irizarry added three aces and two kills.

JV -- Murphysboro 13-25, 25-18, 16-14.

Woodland 25-22-25 Richland 10-25-4

Woodland improved to 11-3 with its fifth consecutive victory in the last nine days.

JV -- Woodland beat Richland 25-23, 25-11.
