BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- Austin Peay's Joe Williams picked up honors Monday as the Ohio Valley Conference's player of the week after leading the Governors to two league victories.

The senior center averaged 22.5 points and 10 rebounds in beating Eastern Illinois in overtime and downing defending champ Southeast Missouri.

The league named Southeast Missouri's Terry Rogers the newcomer of the week. The junior center missed just one shot in a pair of road games.

Ricky Minard of Morehead State and Jason Harrell of Tennessee Tech shared honors as the rookies of the week. Minard scored 51 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in two games, and Harrell came off the bench in helping the Golden Eagles win two games.
