The starting times for this weekend's best-of-three NCAA play-in baseball series between Southeast Missouri State University and Southern University, to be played at Capaha Field in Cape Girardeau, were officially set Monday.
Southeast and Southern will square off at 6 p.m. Friday in the series opener, then play again at 1 p.m. Saturday. A third game, if needed, would also be played Saturday, approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the 1 p.m. contest.
Southeast, which won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament that concluded Saturday, has a 30-22 record.
Southern, of Baton Rouge, La., is the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament champion. The Jaguars are 31-14.
The winner of the play-in series earns a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
