Southeast Missouri State University softball coach Lana Richmond has announced that Christine Berggoetz of Ft. Worth, Texas, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Southeast.
Berggoetz, an infielder and pitcher, was an all-area and all-region performer at Arlington Heights High School.

This spring, Berggoetz was hampered by injuries but still batted .400 and did not allow an earned run in seven starts. As a junior, she was 18-4 with an 0.49 ERA and 119 strikeouts, all school records, while batting .443 with 62 RBIs.
"I look for Christine to make an immediate impact during her freshman season," said Richmond.
