Beckemeyer had an impressive career at Central Community High School, earning Illinois all-state honors in 1996.

"Lea brings a very good defensive game plan which can be a big impact on our program," said Southeast coach Cindy Gannon. "She should be a dominating player in the Ohio Valley Conference."
