Leslie McNamara, a senior cross country runner at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named to the 1999-2000 GTE Academic All-District VII Fall/Winter At-Large team.
Southeast sophomore Amy Arteme, a Kelly High School product, was named second-team GTE Academic All-District.
McNamara is now eligible to be selected to the GTE Academic All-America team.
McNamara placed 14th in the 1999 Ohio Valley Conference cross country championships and is a two-time OVC Medal of Honor winner. She has been all-OVC in cross country the past three years.
A pre-law student at Southeast, McNamara has a grade-point average of 3.858.
Arteme, who has a 3.857 GPA in dietetics, won the 1999 OVC cross country championship. She has been a two-time Southeast Scholar Athlete and has been on the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
