BRIEFLY: SEMO GOLFER RECEIVES MAJOR ACADEMIC HONOR

Southeast Missouri State University golfer Bryan Johnson was recently named a Ping Academic All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Johnson, a junior who was one of Southeast's top players last spring, carries a 3.75 in mass communications with an option in public relations.

Johnson and the rest of the Indians begin their fall golf schedule Sept. 10-11 in the Drury Invitational at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson, Mo.
