On the boys side, first-team selections are Cape Central's Chris Bergerson (6-foot-5 senior), Jackson's Jeff Walter (6-5 senior), Charleston's Larico Coleman (5-8 senior) and Howard Biles (5-10 sophomore) and New Madrid's Ed Farr (6-2 senior).

For the girls, named to the first team were Cape Central's Kim Aslinger (5-7 junior) and Amy Harris (5-9 senior), Jackson's Christa Millham (5-10 senior), Poplar Bluff's Holly Teague (5-7 senior) and New Madrid's Shyla Day (6-2 junior).

The boys second team consists of Jackson's Justin Keen, Sikeston's Bryan Ellitt, Poplar Bluff's Michael Kilgore, New Madrid's Demarcus Johnson and Kennett's Kevin McCaig.

On the girls second team are Cape Central's Dionna Webb, Jackson's Dana Eakins and Melissa Palmer and Poplar Bluff's Amy Hendricks and Tonya Hill.

New Madrid's Lennies McFerren was named boys coach of the year while Cape Central's Paula Watkins and Jackson's Ron Cook shared girls coaching honors.
