Pingel, a native of Perryville, Mo., played wide receiver at Westminster from 1996-99 and is the owner of 17 NCAA records. He was a three-time All-American and the 1999 recipient of the Melberger Award, which is given to the most outstanding player in Division III football.

Pingel was most recently with the Buffalo Bills but was cut during the preseason.
