ST. LOUIS -- The Perryville American Legion baseball team fell into the loser's bracket of the Zone 4 Tournament as Creve Coeur posted an 8-2 victory Thursday night in a first-round game at Heine Meine Field.

Perryville (21-11) will play at 1 p.m. today against the loser of Thursday's late game between defending champion Dunklin County and Anheuser-Busch.

Bob Zimmerman, taken in the 14th-round of this year's major league baseball draft, pitched all nine innings for Creve Coeur, allowing four hits and striking out 11.

Dustin Schmelzle suffered the loss. He allowed six runs (three earned) and 10 hits in six innings.

Gabe Hotop had two of Perryville's four hits.
