Former Otahkian Jodi Davis has been hired as an assistant women's basketball coach at Southeast Missouri State, replacing Dawn Barnes who left to accept a position at Indiana State.
"Coaching is what I always wanted to do and has been a life-long dream," said Davis, who's father coached in four states. "I grew up around basketball and I played for coach (Ed) Arnzen in 1992-93. I know his program well."
Said Arnzen: "Jodi is a tireless worker, a very conscientious person and a very astute student of the game"
Davis, a native of Flippin, Ark., has served as a graduate assistant at Southeast with Academic Compliance and Student Services since 1996. She was in charge of the study hall program for Southeast athletes, supervising over 300 students and athletes.
