The first annual 'Dog Day' will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Southeast Missouri State University Softball Complex, located at the corner of Bertling and Sprigg.
The festivities will go along with the Southeast softball doubleheader against Tennessee State.
Admission is free to all softball fans and pet owners, who are encouraged to bring their dogs to receive free food, prizes and dog bathing. Dr. Cynthia Sprigg will also be on hand to provide micro-chip identification.
The event is sponsored by Schnucks, the American Kennel Club and the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
