The Capahas (3-1) had six hits, by six different players. Tom Bolen drove in both runs with a fourth-inning single that gave the Capahas a 2-1 lead.

Matt Palmer suffered the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) and three hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief. He struck out four and walked two.

Starter Brent Self allowed one run and four hits in four innings. He fanned five and walked two.

McDowell plays at Ste. Genevieve Wednesday night.
