Southeast Missouri State University women's assistant basketball coach Marcia Brooks has resigned to accept a similar position at the University of Missouri.
Brooks had been an assistant at Southeast the past two seasons. She had previously been the restricted earnings coach at Missouri for three years after completing a standout playing career with the Lady Tigers.
"This was a good opportunity for Marcia career-wise," said Southeast head coach Ed Arnzen. "She did an excellent job for us the two years she was here. I hate to see her leave but wish her the best of luck in the future."
Arnzen said the search for Brooks' replacement would begin immediately.
