The Saxony Lutheran boys cross country team placed 15th out of 29 teams with a score of 383 at the Metro East Lutheran Debut Meet in Edwardsville, Ill., on Saturday.
Sam Breite was the Crusaders' lead runner, placing 20th overall with a time of 18 minutes, 27 seconds.
The Chaffee girls scored 366 to finish 15th out of 24 teams, while the Saxony Lutheran girls took 17th with 405.
Megan Chism led the Red Devils by placing 45th, while Rachael Gruenwald paced the Crusaders with a 70th-place finish.
