Semoball Awards finalists for springs sports were announced Wednesday morning on a selection show broadcast live on SEMO ESPN Radio and streamed on the Semoball.com Facebook page.
The finalists were selected by a sports panel made up of representatives from the Southeast Missourian, Standard Democrat, Dexter Statesman, Daily American Republic, and Delta Dunklin Democrat.

The Semoball Awards, presented by SoutheastHEALTH, will be held July 14 at LaCroix Church (3102 Lexington Ave., Cape Girardeau).
The event includes a first-class red-carpet awards show featuring the presentation of 28 awards and recognition of the Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
Tickets are available for purchase at Semoball.com/awards and cost $40 for general admission and $100 for VIP, which includes reserved seating and a meet-and-greet reception with the keynote speaker.
Tickets for athletes are complimentary, and parents will receive an invitation that contains a promo code for two discounted tickets.
"We are excited about this year's event, said Lucas Presson, assistant publisher of the Southeast Missourain. "It's a night of recognizing the best of the best in Southeast Missouri high school sports. I'm really excited about our keynote speaker, Dan Meers. Folks are really going to appreciate his story, which is so inspirational. You don't want to miss it."
