Central senior Blake Driskell and Jackson junior Josh Wheeler shared medalist honors at the 16-team Notre Dame Invitational with a three-over-par 75 at Bent Creek Golf Course on Monday.
Poplar Bluff won the event with a score of 307. Central was second with a 318, followed by Jackson (322), Dexter (347) and North County (362). Notre Dame finished seventh with a 374.
Kirk Lohmann shot a 76 for Central, tied for third. Robert Kaverman shot a 78, and Zach Kluesner rounded out Central's top four with an 89.
Gabe Sauer shot 77 for Jackson, and T.J. Smith and Nic Robinson each shot 85.
Brandon Holzum led the Bulldogs with an 83, followed by Austin Hunter (96), Brett Slaten (96) and Austin Gelscheimer (99).
Scott City started off its season by committing nine errors in a five-inning thrashing from visiting New Madrid County Central.
Andy Stephens was the losing pitcher, allowing seven hits and 14 runs -- only four earned -- in over two innings.
Rynn Eskew went 2-for-4 with a double and triple for the Rams, and Cody Carlyle was 2-for-2 with a triple.

Kelly pounded out 16 hits in an error-plagued road win over Chaffee.

Seabaugh improved to 2-0 on the mound, holding Woodland to just two hits. Kaci Menz added four hits for Delta (2-0), Shea Smith had three and Seabaugh added three RBIs.
Notre Dame suffered its first loss of the year at the hands of visiting district rival Sikeston.
Sikeston scored about 15 minutes into the second half to put away Notre Dame (3-1), which won the Noon Optimist tournament title on Saturday.
