UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Brad Isbister scored a tip-in goal midway through the third period as the New York Islanders completed a rally from three one-goal deficits and defeated the St. Louis Blues 4-3 Tuesday night.

Standing 10-feet from the goal, Isbister tipped Mariusz Czerkawski's pass from the left boards past goalie Brent Johnson at 10:21 to give the Islanders a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1).

New York shook off Monday night's tough 6-6 tie at Florida, in which they squandered a 5-2 lead in the third period, to beat a team tied for the third most points in the Western Conference.

Roman Hamrlik, Dave Scatchard and Claude Lapointe also scored for the Islanders, and Garth Snow earned the win with 17 saves in a 40-minute relief appearance of Chris Osgood.

The Blues, who have lost four of five, got goals from Jamal Mayers, Doug Weight and Bryce Salvador. Johnson made 16 saves.

Lapointe pushed theIslanders into the lead for good at 4:19 in the final period on a tip-in at the left crease off a perfect feed from Jason Blake.
