ST. LOUIS -- Manny Legace made 33 saves to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 2-0 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night.
Legace, in his first season with the Blues after six with Detroit, is 11-1-0 lifetime against Colorado. On Friday night in Denver, he helped the Blues beat the Avs 4-2.
Legace has allowed only nine goals in his past six games, with the Blues winning five of them. The only loss was in a shootout at Nashville on Tuesday night.
Keith Tkachuk and Lee Stempniak scored for St. Louis.
Colorado appeared to score midway through the third period. However, the referees immediately declared no goal. A review by the officials confirmed the puck slid under the back of the net after St. Louis' Barret Jackman inadvertently lifted up the goal.
The Blues have earned points in each of their past eight games and have won five of their past six. They have earned 13 of their 31 points over that span.
After scoring three times on the power-play Friday night, St. Louis scored with the advantage in the first and second period to give Legace plenty of cushion.
Tkachuk scored his 10th goal of the season when he knocked in a rebound of Eric Brewer's slap shot midway through the first period.
Lee Stempniak added his 11th goal with a slap shot from the top of the slot that rocketed past Peter Budaj and into the top of the net. Budaj faced 22 shots.
