Bell City outlasted host Central in a best-of-five volleyball match Monday.

Wendi Zickfield had 17 kills and 15 digs for the Tigers (7-12-2). Rita Walter had 10 digs and eight kills, while Taylor Kirn recorded seven aces and 11 assists.

Game scores were 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20.

Scott City 25 25 Leopold 13 21

The Rams improved to 19-1-2 with a two-game victory at home.

Brooke Simpson had nine kills, and Anna Laitinen had seven kills and six kill-blocks to lead Scott City's attack. Katie Hogan added four kills and five digs.

Katie Diebold had a team-high 11 assists, and Jordan McFall and Stephanie Essner led the defense with six digs apiece.

The Rams' victory came after the team won the ASU PlayDay tournament over the weekend.

Laitinen was named the tournament MVP after finishing with 21 kills, 12 service aces, 58 digs and six blocks. Simpson had 55 kills and 20 blocks in the tournament.

Perryville 25 19 25 Fredericktown 20 25 19

Host Perryville notched its 17th win of the season.

Logan Johnson led the Pirates (17-6-1) with 14 digs, Hanah Tripp had five aces and Ava Johnson recorded four kills.

Jackson 4, Poplar Bluff 2

Law Duncan had a goal and an assist to lead the visiting Indians.

Joe Shultz, Clayton Baker and Andrew Mueller also scored for Jackson (5-7). Tyson Stoverink added an assist.

Perryville 2, Kennett 1

The Pirates' first-year program notched its 10th victory by slipping past host Kennett.

Wade Fulton and Wade Lawrence scored for Perryville (10-1), with Ben Prevallet and Dalton Hoehn recording assists.

SOFTBALL

Delta 10, Clearwater 0

Junior pitchers Kendra Burnett and Taylor Keys combined for a five-inning no-hitter at home.

Burnett (13-5) threw the first three innings and struck out six, while Keys pitched the final two innings. The only baserunner to reach was on a two-out fifth-inning walk issued by Keys, who also struck out a batter.

Both players also helped with the bat, as Keys went 3-for-3 and Burnett had a double. Jodi Menz added a triple for Delta (13-6).
