BEDWELL SIGNS WITH SHAWNEE C.C.

Lani Bedwell, a 1999 graduate of Scott City High School, recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill.

Bedwell was a three-year varsity point guard for Scott City's Lady Rams who also excelled in the classroom; she was the salutatorian of her senior class at Scott City.

Bedwell also played on the Jr. Pro team in Kentucky that won a state title and placed third in the nationals.

"Basketball has been a big part of my life. I've played organized basketball since I was in the second grade and have loved every minute of it," she said. "I'm thankful for the opportunity that Shawnee is giving me to continue to play the game I love."
