JACKSON -- Austin Peay's John Swigart claimed medalist honors and helped the Governor's to a nine-shot victory Tuesday in the Drury Intercollegiate tournament at Bent Creek.

Swigart shot a 1-under-par 71 in the second round to finish with a two-day total of 140, four shots ahead of runner-up J.R. Cronkie of Murray State.

Austin Peay won with a 580 team total as its top four scorers finished among the top 16 finishers. Murray State was next at 589, followed by Southwest Missouri (597), Morehead State (599), Southeast Missouri `White' (601), Creighton (608), Belmont (609), Southern Illinois (609), UMKC (612), Evansville (613), DePaul (617), New Orleans (617), Tennessee State (624), Eastern Illinois (631) and Southeast Missouri `Red' (636).

Shawn Edgar shot a two-day total of 147 to lead Southeast `White'. Also on Southeast `White' were Ryan Jaques (152), Jason Owen (152), Derek Rahlmann (153) and Jake Saladin (157).

Composing Southeast `Red' were Scott Roe (152), Matt Clabaugh (155), Mike Brown (160) and John Sutton (169).
