Week report: A second-team all-state selection as a junior, Booth opened her senior season in strong fashion. The Lady Cardinals christened the 1999 campaign by winning their own Woodland Tournament. Woodland, which has won its first four matches of the season, defeated Meadow Heights in the semifinals and Leopold in the championship match. Booth was named to the all-tournament team after recording 15 kills and 11 digs in the two tourney matches.
Coach's comments: "She's one of our leaders and she's a great athlete. She's a well-rounded player that we rely on a lot... She covers the court really well and is a strong hitter. She's very competitive in every thing she does... She knows how to handle pressure well. She showed a lot of leadership in the Leopold game."
