TG Missouri's lead was 60 points after Tuesday
TG Missouri took a 60-point lead to the pool Wednesday night in Division I of the Corporate Games following its second-place finish in flag football.
TG Missouri, the defending champion in the larger division of the Cape Girardeau Recreation Department's Olympic-style, two-week competition for employee-based organizations, had 500 points to Procter & Gamble's 440.
Southeast Missouri Hospital was third with 270, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield was fourth with 230.
After two events scheduled for Wednesday at Central Municipal Pool, the competition continues with dodgeball tonight at the A.C. Brase Arena and two events Friday at the Osage Community Centre.
In Division II, for organizations with fewer than 100 employees, Division of Youth Services increased its lead to 40 points with a flag football win Tuesday.
DYS had 460 points, MedAssets had 420 and Big River Telephone had 410 points.
Virgil Schreckenberg and Jake Kluesner captured the Southeast Missouri Horseshoes Association event Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
They topped a field of 10 teams.
Cori Stoverink and Brian Beussink finished second with Rick Garland and Edgar Stoverink grabbing third place.
