Jackson's Kenny Davis used a 7-iron to score a hole in one on the 150-yard hole No. 16 at Kimbeland Golf Course on Wednesday.

Gary King, Tommy James, Gary Daniel and J.P. Sides witnessed the shot.

Four players tie for top honors

There was a four-way tie atop the A-flight at the weekly Cape Chip-A-Ways golf outing Tuesday.

Lil Angle, Sharon Dow, Sissy Burnett and Linda Williams all tied for the top honor.

In the B-flight, Deanna Peterman and Margie Kurre tied for top honors.

Doris Breymeyer had the low putts and Carolyn Blechle had the play of the day.

Wells takes second in super pro class

Marble Hill's Jeremy Wells took second in the super pro class at the Sikeston Drag Strip on Saturday.

Wells lost to Benton's Jim Wade, who had a time of 5.41 seconds and reached 126 mph.

Cape Girardeau's Daryl Cooper won the super pro class Aug. 18 with a time of 6.57 and he reached 104 mph. He defeated Royce Thomason.
