Myers, Fowler, Hoffman win Dalhousie scramble
Seven-time Lassies Classic champions Diane Fowler and Harriette Myers teamed up with Janice Hoffman to win a three-woman scramble Thursday at the Dalhousie Golf Club's Ladies Guest Day.
The trio shot a 66 to finish two strokes ahead of Carol Largent, Becky Slaten and Coleen Pearson.
Martha Hamilton, Robyn Young and Leslie Steele were another stroke back at 69.
Closest to the pin winners were Laurie Welter (No. 5), Fowler (No. 8), Pat Bray (No. 11) and Young (No. 13).
Vicki McKinney won the championship flight of the Cape Girardeau Country Club Ladies Day event on Thursday.
The play of the day was Crier's Tournament.
Mary Ann Vogelsang won the "A" flight and Betty Michel won the "B" flight.
Kathy Morris was the medalist.
* In the Cape Girardeau Country Club's women's twilight event on Wednesday, Joyce Kuntze and Claudia VanOostrom teamed up for the championship.
