Angle wins A flight at Chip A Ways event
Lil Angle won A flight at the Chip A Ways' weekly event at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.
Polly Bess and Dottie Gill tied for first in B flight, while Bonnie Miller was first in C fight.
Evelyn Riley won play of the day -- longest putt on No. 16.
Marge Kurre posted the low-putt total.
The Kohlfeld Scorpions Rugby Club lost a 25-0 decision to the St. Louis Bombers in an annual tournament at SIU-Carbondale.
The Scorpions opened their run to the title contest with a 22-3 victory over Saluki Rugby, then posted a 32-7 victory over Murray State. A 25-0 victory over nationally ranked Arkansas State University propelled Kohlfeld into the title match.
Scorpions scorers for the day included Josh Goodrich, Joey Hann, Scott Johnston and Kevin Tucker.

Earl Buchheit of Cape Girardeau sank his second career hole in one at Kimbeland Country Club.
Buchheit used a 7-iron on Hole 'A', a par 3 playing 110 yards.
Witnesses were Wayne Nesslein, Leon Calvin and Scobie Robert.
Florence Lewis of Cape Girardeau carded her fourth career hole in one at Kimbeland Country Club.
Lewis used a 6-iron to ace No. 18, a par 3 playing 108 yards. Witnesses were Bonnie Kinder and Pat Irvin.
Cody Caudle of Oran, Mo., took second place Saturday in the Trophy Class at the Sikeston Drag Strip.
Kyle Allardin of Bandana, Ky., defeated Caudle in the final.
