The Kohlfeld Scorpions reached the championship game of the All Fools Tournament at Southern Illinois University on Saturday but suffered a 22-17 loss to the Eastern Illinois Panthers Rugby Club.

The Scorpions (11-2) picked up three wins to reach the final. Kohlfeld defeated the Western Illinois Bulldogs Rugby Club 45-10, and then stopped Western Kentucky University 35-12. The Scorpions' final victory was a 32-5 triumph over the Tennessee Tech Rugby Club.

The Scorpions scorers included Alan Kloss, Mark Lineberry, Steve Depyper, Marc Harris, Kevin Tucker, Carlos Velasco, Scott Johnston and tournament MVP T.J. Ebner.

Kohlfeld returns to action April 17 when it faces the Albuquerque (N.M.) Aardvarks in a Western U.S.A. qualifier at Arena Park.

ATPR adds to schedule

The Auto Tire and Parts NAPA RacePark in Benton, Mo., has added a Dwarf Cars and regular race night to the calendar. The racing will be April 17.

On Friday of this week, the track host a demolotion derby at 7 p.m. and a regular night of racing on Saturday.

Winners in the season-opening March 27 card were: Cline Myers in pure street class, Terry James in late model, Rusty Griffaw in modified and Southard and Koening in cruiser.
