Southeast athletic trainer resigns

Lance McNamara, Southeast Missouri State University's head athletic trainer since 1997, has resigned to accept a position with the Morris Center for Sports Medicine in Athens, Ga.

McNamara's resignation takes effect Friday.

Gail DiPrete, Southeast's associate head trainer, will be the interim head trainer until a national search identifies a replacement for McNamara.

Southeast signs another gymnast

Southeast's gymnastics program announced the signing of its second recruit for next season on Monday as Mindy Lineweber from Lincoln, Neb., will join the team.

Lineweber is a Level 10 state champion in Nebraska in the all-around.

"Mindy is a very gifted athlete," Southeast coach Tom Farden said. -- From staff reports
