The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will hold its 11th Annual Hershey Relays on June 13 at the Abe Stuber Track & Field Complex.

The event is open to boys and girls ages 9-14. Events that will be offered are the 50, 100, 200 and 400-meter dashes; 800 and 1,600 runs; and long jump, softball throw and 4x100 relay.

Winners will advance to the state meet on July 10 in Jefferson City.

The local meet begins at 9 a.m. Registration is being held in advance at the A.C. Brase Arena building from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants can also sign up from 8:30-8:45 a.m. the day of the event.

The local meet is $2 to all children throughout the area.
