Long medalist among Kimbeland CC ladies
Vicki Long had the top score Thursday in the Ladies Golf League at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson.
The play of the day was the best score on odd holes. Barb Johnson and Lillian Schneider tied atop the championship flight. Karen Heisel won the A flight, and Jackie Anderson was first in the B flight.
Ernie Kidd finished first in the Cape Girardeau Country Club Ladies Day Handicap Tournament this week.
Luanne Kiefner finished second. Leslie Steele was third, Pat Strom and Betty Michel tied for fourth, and Jean Mabrey and Kay Tolliver tied for sixth.
Kathy Morris had the longest drive, and Sarah Cochrane had the longest putt. Closest to the hole winners were Steele (No. 2), Judi Brey (Nos. 6 and 16), Mabrey (No. 8), Mary Sue Layton (No. 11) and Kidd (No. 13).
The P&G Orange team held on to a 20-point lead through Friday's events in the Corporate Games standings for Division I, larger companies.
P&G Orange had 270 points, the City of Cape Girardeau 250 and P&G Red had 240.
MedAssets led Divison II with 250. Yellow Book had 240.
