Morgan, Miles win Dalhousie horse race

Bill Morgan and Harold Miles topped the Turnberry flight and won the horse race in Dalhousie Golf Club's Gentleman's Invitational, which was played June 10 and 11.

Thirty-six teams participated in the event, which recognized winners in six flights.

Morgan and Miles had the best net score on alternating shots to capture the horse race.

Other flight winners were: David Kaelin and Todd Miller, St. Andrews flight; Alan Dombrowski and Dwight Thomas, Carnoustie; Tim Billings and Charles Heiner, Muirfield; Steve Limbaugh and Andy Limbaugh, Prestwick; and Tom Schumer and Dale Grogg, Royal Troon.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Joe Gilenhaus on No. 5, Bob Garrett on No. 8, Tom Schumer on No. 11 and Steve Hollis on No. 13.

Kuntz, Underwood, Young team up for win

The team of Joyce Kuntze, Dana Underwood and Robyn Young captured the three-person scramble in the Cape Girardeau Country Club Twilight Golf on Wednesday.

The ladies day winning team June 16 was the combo of Lisa Bjelich and Kathy Morris, who teamed up to capture the 18-hole division. Pat Strom and Sarah Cochrane tied the team of Judi Brey and Mary Sue Layton for second place. The play of the day was modified scotch.

Sharon Barrows was the nine-hole winner on ladies day. The play of the day was play your own ball.

Holloway scores ace at Cape Country Club

Keith Holloway scored a hole in one Tuesday on the second hole at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The par-3 hole was playing at a distance of 186 yards.

The hole in one, witnessed by Rusty Holliday, was Holloway's first.

Reiminger scores ace at Kimbeland

Chad Reiminger picked up his first career hole in one Thursday on the sixth hole at Kimbeland.

Reiminger used a seven iron from a distance of 160 yards.

Dane Baker, Scott Masterson and Jim Davey were witnesses.
