Cape Legion picks up pair of forfeits

Cape Girardeau Ford and Sons Senior Legion team picked up a pair of forfeit wins Monday night.

Fulton, Ky., did not make the trip to Capaha Park due to a lack of players. Fulton only had seven players available.

Ford and Sons doubleheader scheduled for today at Ballwin was mutually canceled with both teams banged up.

Schneider records ace at Kimbeland C.C.

Lillian Schneider of Jackson made her first career hole in one Sunday on No. 8 at Kimbeland Country Club.

Schneider used a seven wood from 135 yards. Witnesses were Peggy Fee, Barb Johnson and Dixie Jones.

Steele wins two day handicap tournament

Leslie Steele won the Two Day Handicap tournament at the Cape Girardeau Country Club in a sudden death play off.

Brenda VandenBrook finished second in the tournament, followed by Laura Raden and Marlena Jones.
