Morris earns medalist honors

Kathy Morris was the day's medalist at the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's weekly outing.

Janet White took first place in the 18-holes group, while Shirley Moore was second. Wendi Carnes and Irene Thomas tied for third.

Pat Strom won the nine-holes group.

Neff takes first in tournament

Bob Neff won the flag tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Jeff DeWitt was second, followed by Terri Parmly and Brevin Giebler.

Sarah Bell won the junior class, while Jonathan Bell was second.

Litzelfelner wins division by two

Jack Litzelfelner shot a 76 to defeat Hunter Asher by two strokes to win the boys 14 and 15 18 holes tour division at the Gateway Junior PGA Series event at Kimbeland Country Club.

Gage Wolford and Brandon Wagner both shot 40s in the boys 12 and 13 nine holes division, but Wolford won in a putt-off.

Tanner Walton beat Trevor Bradley in a putt-off after both boys shot 43s in the boys 10 and 11 nine holes division.
