Woolard wins Gateway Junior Series event

Nick Woolard shot a 69 to win the 18-hole boys 16-19 tour division at the recent Gateway Junior Series event at Westwood Hills Country Club in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Jonathan Bell won boys 14-15 tour with an 84, while Sarah Bell claimed girls tour with an 81.

Winners in the boys 18 holes regular division were Jaden Hightower (81, boys 12-13), Brandon Wagner (80, boys 14-15) and Austin Bowman (82, boys 16-19).

10-11 boys -- Brent Wagner 46, Trevor Bradley 50, Spencer Warren 50

12-13 boys -- Nate Hulshof 44, Will Pratt 47

14-19 -- Brandon Sweger 66

10-11 girls -- Tayrn Bell 49

Stone wins quota tourney at Dalhousie

Jerry Stone won the quota tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club with six over his quota.

Tom Viers placed second (four over), Jeff DeWitt was third (three over) and Bruce Watson and Gordon Jones tied for fourth (two over).

In quota play, golfers subtract his/her handicap from 36 to establish their quota. Points are then awarded for eagles (six), birdies (four), pars (two) and bogeys (one). The player who accumulates the most points beyond his quota wins.

Estes foursome wins Chip-A-Ways scramble

Edna Estes, Clara Schafer, Vickie Howard and Pat Harrison won the Chip-A-Ways' scramble format last week at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Harriet Martin, JoEllen Haas and Deanna Peterman record the low-putt total.
