Three teams shot 138 to tie for first place in the Big Kahuna four-person shamble pressure ball tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The three teams were the team of Ken Swinford, Greg Howard, Ben Cantrell and Ray Laidet, the team of Rob Erlbacher, Mike Bennett, Tom Metheny and David Hahs and the team of Terry Farrow, Dean Bankson, Bubba Kobler and John Brey.

Morris, White team for win

The team of Kathy Morris and Janet White won the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's two-person scramble.

The team of Linda Tewis and Mary Alice Regenhardt was second, while the team of Shirley Moore and Betty Michel was third.

Vicki Long used a 7-wood to record an ace on hole No. 6 at Kimbeland Country Club.

The hole was playing 134 yards.

Sissy Donahue, Joan Clark and Lillian Schneider witnessed the shot.

Cobras finish second in tournament

The Southeast Cobras 15-and-younger baseball team recently placed second at the Midwest High School Showcase 18-and-younger tournament in St. Louis.

The Cobras finished in the top four in pool play before knocking off the Gateway Warriors to reach the title game, where they fell to the St. Louis Warriors.
