Cape Girardeau's Brent Holmes shot a 73 to earn medalist honors Wednesday in the Missouri Amateur Championship qualifier at Dalhousie Golf Club.
Holmes earned a spot in the Missouri Amateur Championship, which will be held June 21 to 26 at Boone Valley Golf Club in Augusta, Mo.
There were 12 golfers from either Cape Girardeau or Jackson who earned a spot in the field at Boone Valley.
Cape Girardeau's Bryan Johnson carded a 75 to tie for third, while Ben Cantrell and Tim Simmons shot 76s to tie for sixth place.

The Southeast Missouri Cobras baseball team defeated host Bloomfield 11-0 in the opener and 12-2 in the night cap Wednesday.
James Dickerson earned the win in Game 1.
Ryan Fortner led the Cobras' attack with two hits and three RBIs.
Trey Tigart, Dickerson and Kyle James all added two RBIs.
Fortner added two more hits, including a homer, and two RBIs in the second game.
Kyle Harris pounded a pair of homers, while Calvin Lovig went 3 for 3 in the win.
