Shultz used an 8-iron on No. 4, a par-3 hole playing 135 yards. Witnesses were Ricky Shultz and Corey King.

Jones fires hole in one

Wayne Jones of Jackson sank his first career hole in one Tuesday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Jones accomplished the feat with a U-wedge on No. 12, a par 3 playing 90 yards. Witnesses were Larry Freese, Bob Ervin and Allen Ervin.

Burnett earns medalist

Sissy Burnett was the medalist Tuesday in the Chip-A-Ways at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

Lil Angle won the play of the day, which was "most 5s." She had seven. Evelyn Riley, Melba Masterson and Donna Symington tied for B class honors.
