Jesse Schott's one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning carried the Ford & Sons Cape Girardeau Senior American Legion Post 63 baseball team past Kennett Senior Babe Ruth 4-3 on Wednesday.
Schott's double scored Trey Gardner, who reached on a fielder's choice.
Post 63 (3-2) scored a run in the sixth to pull even at 3-3.
Luke Hinkebein earned the win in relief. He allowed one run and struck out three over two innings.
Andrew Williams worked the first five innings and allowed two runs, one earned, for Post 63.
The Plaza Tire Cape Girardeau Junior American Legion Post 63 baseball team fell to Kennett Senior Babe Ruth 15-5 in five innings Wednesday.
Adam Pope suffered the loss after allowing six runs on four hits over 3 1/3 innings.
Trey Rabbass went 1 for 3 with a triple and three RBIs for Post 63 (3-2).
Wendi Carns used a 9-wood to score an ace on hole No. 13 at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The hole was playing 135 yards.
Samantha Hightower shot a 94 to beat Conner McKinney by two strokes in the girls 14 and 15 18 holes Tour division at Wednesday's PGA Gateway Series event at Hidden Trails Country Club in Dexter, Mo.
Nick Westrich shot a 44 to hold off Gage Wolford by one stroke in the boys 12 and 13 nine-hole division.

Colby Brown allowed 11 runs over four innings in the 11-0 five-inning opening loss.
Jon Winkler struck out two and walked two in a complete-game losing effort in the second game, a 3-2 decision.
Poplar Bluff rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to pull out the win.
