Talleys, Redigers win couples tournament

The team of Bob Talley, Shirley Talley, Harry Rediger and Fran Rediger won the Memorial Day couples scramble tournament at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

The foursome of Mel Moore, Shirley Moore, David Morris and Kathy Morris finished second.

In B flight, Jerry Vandenbrook, Brenda Vandenbrook, Lee Weed and Catherine Weed placed first. Butch Smiley, Karen Smiley, Oscar Gardiner and Mary Gardiner placed second.

Strom, Michel team for victory

Pat Strom and Betty Michel placed first in the weekly Cape Girardeau Country Club Women's Golf Association's golf outing.

The team of Kathy Morris and Lisa Bjelich took second.
