James wins modified division at Race Park

Billy James won the late models class at Benton Race Park last weekend.

Other winners were Brian Worley in modified, Mark Todd in pure street and Justin MCallister in pro-4.

Essery cards ace at Dalhousie

Matt Essery of Chicago fired his first career hole in one Sunday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Essery used a 7-iron to ace No. 5, a par 3 playing 152 yards.

Witnesses were his wife, Casey Essery, Jack Connell Jr. and Corey Connell.

Correction

Due to incorrect information reported to the Southeast Missourian, the wrong runners were listed as Class 4 state qualifiers for the Central girls track team.

Victoria Schabbing was part of the Tigers' 3,200-meter relay team that won its sectional race. Asia Thomas and Rita Walter were part of the Tigers' 1,600 relay team that finished second at the sectional Saturday in Eureka.

The Southeast Missourian regrets the errors.
