Charlie Seabaugh used a sand wedge to card an ace on hole No. 12 at Cape Jaycee Municipal Golf Course.

The hole was playing 120 yards.

Powell, Cook team for horseshoes victory

Lester Powell and Lachelle Cook combined to win the SEMO Horseshoe Association's nine-team tournament at the Oran Jaycees.

Ron LeGrand and Diane Menz placed second, while Beaver Glastetter and Cori Stoverink took third.

Jerome Backfisch and Cook teamed to win the 12-team tournament at the Oran Knights of Columbus.

Virgil Schreckenberg and Carolyn Schreckenberg finished second, while Goose Glastetter and Menz took third.

The next tournament is scheduled for Sunday at the Backyard Club.
