Pearson wins in pro class at SikestonDrag Strip
SIKESTON, Mo. -- Steve Pearson of St. Charles, Mo., topped the super pro field in Sunday's event at Sikeston Drag Strip.
Pearson had a 6.93-second dial and 6.954 time (98.61 mph) to lead Avery Sneed of Rosiclare, Ill. Sneed had a 6.276-second run (108.98 mph) on a 6.23 dial-in.
In the ET class, Tom Everett of Campbell, Mo., ran 96.33 mph for a 7.156 ET on a 7.12 dial-in. Frankie Radake of St. Louis was second at 103.95 mph on a 6.745 ET and 6.75 dial-in.
Darrel Woodard of Poplar Bluff, Mo., won the pro class with a 109.51 mph run on a 6.248 ET and 6.24 dial-in. Tony Jacques was second at 104.23 mph (6.492 ET, 6.48 dial-in).
Davis, Johnson make holes-in-one at Kimbeland
Kenny Davis and Norris Johnson each shot holes-in-one this week at Kimbeland Country Club.
Davis, of Jackson, made his shot on hole No. 18 using a six-iron from 140 yards out. It was his second hole-in-one. Witnesses were Gary King, Tommy James, King Bradshaw and Gary Hartle.
Johnson, of Cape Girardeau, made his third hole-in-one using a nine-iron from 142 yards out on hole A. Witnesses were Ron Parker, Rich Baker and Ernie Nordman.
