Brey, Eftink, Underwood win scramble event
The threesome of Judi Brey, Mary Jane Eftink and Dana Underwood was the scramble winner at the Women's Golf Association's twilight event at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Robyn Young won closest to the pin on No. 2, while Claudia VanOostrom claimed the longest putt on No. 9.
In the Ladies' Day event on Monday, Kathy Morris earned medalist. Play of the day was "Pink Ball," with the team of Marlena Jones, Sarah Cochrane and Mary Sue Layton placing first. The threesome of Vicki McKinney, Mary Ellen Bean and Shirley Moore finished second.
Several club members fared well at the Charleston Individual Tournament: Robyn Young was fourth in championship; Linda Tewis was first in A flight; Mary Jane Eftink finished runner-up in A flight; and Luanne Kiefner placed first in C flight.
Meyer aces hole at Cape Girardeau C.C.
Zach Meyer, 10, of Cape Girardeau carded his first hole in one Wednesday at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Meyer used a 3-wood to ace No. 2, a par 3 playing 130 yards. Witnesses were Tyler Arpin, Vance Toole, Billy Birk and Ed Radetic.
Kneer cards hole in one at Cape Girardeau C.C.
Mark Kneer of Cape Girardeau fired a hole in one Friday at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Kneer aced No. 2, a 155-yard par 3, with a 6-iron. Witnesses were Mary Kay Poljan-Kneer, Jerry VanOostrom and Claudia VanOostrom.
St. Louis woman hits hole in one at Dalhousie
Pat Nasalroad, of St. Louis, posted a hole-in-one on the fifth hole at Dalhousie Golf Club on Thursday.
Nasalroad used an 11-wood for the 134-yard hole. Darlene Rawson and Nancy and Steve Sebastian were witnesses.
