Young captures club title

Robyn Young won the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's club championship.

Mary Ellen Bean won the women's senior club championship.

Kathy Morris was second in the championship flight, while Mary Ann Vogelsang took second in the senior division.

Deb Mealy and Joyce Kuntze tied atop A flight, while Dana Underwood won B flight. Irene Thomas took second in B flight.

The team of Martha Hamilton and Barb Johnson and the team of Morris and Olivia Hunter tied for first at the guest day tournament.

The team of Underwood and Vicki Long tied the team of Mealy and Sissy Donahue for third place.

Morris won medalist honors at the association's Sept. 17 outing.

Helen Ruth Towns finished first and Lisa Bejlich took second.

Jonesboro CC wins Dalhousie Cup

The team from Jonesboro, Ark., Country Club shot a 129 to win the Dalhousie Ladies Cup 2 best ball net golf tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Lee Brun, Jan Beard, Anita Covington and Krissy Austin played for the Jonesboro team.

The Cape Girardeau Country Club team of Scott Kunz, Robyn Young, Deb Mealy and Joyce Kuntze shot a 130 for second.

The Kimbeland Country Club team of Jim Davey, Barb Johnson, Sharon McCune and Karron Hiesil shot a 136 for third, while the Dalhousie Golf Club team of Gary Squires, Ann Dombrowski, Harriette Myers and Robin Davis shot a 139 for fourth.
