Sikeston racer wins ATPR pure street event

BENTON, Mo. -- Season point champion Greg Casey of Sikeston, Mo., won the Pure Street Nationals for pure stock cars Saturday at Auto Tire and Parts Racepark.

Arkansas racer Heath Davenport was second, followed by a trio of the track's weekly racers: Jeff Beeson of Benton, Cline Myers Jr., of Scott City and Dietrich Bollinger of Benton.

Thirty-eight racers from Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee were entered.

Steffens sinks hole in one at Kimbeland

Wayne Steffens of Cape Girardeau recently carded his first career hole in one at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson.

Steffens used a 5-iron to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 150 yards. Witnesses were Nub Boswell, Earl Cotner and Mike Cotner.

Kohlfeld Scorpions rout Rolla 56-5

The Kohlfeld Scorpions Rugby Club recently rolled to a 56-5 victory over the University of Missouri-Rolla.

Scoring for Kohlfeld were Cole Burton, T.J. Ebner, Scott Johnston, Jeremy Mabrey, Ben Schwab and Kevin Tucker.

Kohlfeld (7-2), undefeated in conference play, will face the St. Louis Bombers in the Missouri Championship this weekend at Forest Park in St. Louis.
