Eaker shoots ace at Kimbeland C.C.

Jesse Eaker of Cape Girardeau carded a hole-in-one Tuesday at Kimbeland Country Club. Eaker used a 9-iron to ace No. 4, a par 3 playing 115 yards.

Witnesses were Ray Boren, Gordon Feeney and Don Hahs. Eaker reported it as his eighth hole-in-one.

Mashek records hole-in-one

Scott City's Bea Mashek carded a hole-in-one in a tournament at St. Francois Country Club in Farmington, Mo.

It was the first ace of Mashek's career and it came on hole No. 17.

Stuart Mashek, Jim Wink and Beverly Wink witnessed the shot.

Evans, Shoaf win Wheels for World 5K

Charlie Evans finished first at the Wheels for the World 5K run/walk at Arena Park.

He covered the course in 20 minutes, 59 seconds.

Marissa Shoaf was the top female finisher, crossing the line in 24:41.

Wheels for the World collects mobility devices and distributes them in developing countries.
