Joe Uhls tournament: The Southeast Missouri State baseball program will hold its eighth annual Joe Uhls golf tournament Sept. 28 at Bent Creek Golf Course in Jackson. The four-person scramble will feature three flights and begin at 12:30 p.m. following lunch at 11:15 a.m. Cost: $200 per player, which includes Redhawks apparel, meal, refreshments and practice balls. City of Roses Half Marathon/5K: The Cape Girardeau Road Runners are hosting their 32nd Annual City of Roses Half Marathon/5K on Sunday. The race will start and finish at the Osage Center in Cape Girardeau and will be chip timed. The Half Marathon starts at 7:30 a.m. with the 5K starting at 7:45 a.m. Registrations will be taken up to and including early race day morning. Registration forms, on-line registration, and course map links are available at www.caperoadrunners.org. River Hills Run/Walk: The 30th annual River Hills Run/Walk will be Sept. 22 in conjunction with the East Perry Fair. The event is a 4.3 mile run/walk from Wittenberg to Altenburg. All participants turning in $25 or more in donations will receive a T-shirt. Proceeds will benefit "My Camp." Those interested in participating should be at the Altenburg fairgrounds stage by 8:45 a.m. the day of the run. Info: 824-5113.

Redhawks Run: The inaugural River Eagle Redhawks Run will be Oct. 13. The 5K race from Houck Stadium starts at 2:30 p.m. with registration beginning at 1:30 p.m. Participants receive a ticket to that night's Southeast Missouri State football game against Tennessee State, a Nike Dri-Fit T-shirt and a chance to create a fan tunnel for the Redhawks' entry onto the field. There is a finish line tailgate party with free food and beverages. Early entry of $25 is due by Sept. 7. Cost is $30 after Sept. 7. Justice Jog:The 4-mile Justice Jog will take place at 4 p.m. Oct. 7 at pavilion No. 4 at Jackson City Park. There also will be a quarter-mile youth run, which will start at 5 p.m. Registration: splitmastertiming.com.

Steps for Youth Justice run:The 2-mile Steps for Youth Justice run will take place at 8 a.m. Oct. 6 at pavilion No. 2 in Jackson City Park. Registration: splitmastertiming.com.

Bootheel Counseling run/walk: The Bootheel Counseling Services will hold it Goblin Gallop, a 5K/1-mile run and walk Oct. 27 in Sikeston, Mo. The race will start at the Bootheel Counseling Services at 760 Plantation Blvd. Entry fee for the 5K is $20 before Oct. 12 and $25 after. Entry fee is $15 for 1-mile run/walk.
