Baseball

* Cardinals trip: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a trip to the St. Louis Cardinals game against the Houston Astros on Aug. 1 at 1:15 p.m. The tickets are located in the pavilion reserved section. Basketball

* Southeast girls camp: The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball program, under coach John Ishee, will hold an individual skills elite camp for players entering grades 8 through 12 from Thursday to Saturday. Info: 651-2113. A camp brochure is available at gosoutheast.com.

* Jackson boys camps: Jackson will host boys basketball camps at the high school. An individual skills camp for players in grades 3 through 7 will be June 29 to July 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $50 if preregistered; $55 at the door. A shooting camp for players in grades 3 through 7 will be July 13 to 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $50 if preregistered; $55 at the door. A little dribblers camp for players in grades kindergarten through 2 will be Aug. 3 to 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost: $40 if preregistered, $45 at the door. Individual workouts also will be available with the Jackson coaching staff and focus on shooting fundamentals, post moves and ball handling. * Notre Dame boys camps: Notre Dame coach Kevin Roberts will host basketball camps at the high school. One camp will run from June 22 to 26, while the other will run from July 6 to 10. Boys in grades kindergarten and 1 will be from 8 to 9 a.m., and the cost is $45 for each camp. Boys in grades 2 to 4 will be from 9 to 11 a.m., and the cost is $65 for each camp. * Shooting camp: Notre Dame will host a shooting and ballhandling camp at the high school Monday to Friday. The camp is for players in grades 6 to 8 and is designed to improve the individual shooting fundamentals of the serious athlete. It will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $80. * Central girls camps: Central coach Sherri Shirrell will host basketball skills camps at the high school Tuesday to Thursday. * <B>Central boys camps: Central coach Drew Church will host boys basketball camps at the high school. A camp for players in grades kindergarten to 4 will run June 23 to 25 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. or July 14 to 16 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. A camp for players in grades 5 to 8 will run June 23 to 25 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. or July 14 to 16 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Cost: $45 per camp. Cross country

n Jackson camps: Jackson will host cross country camps for boys and girls entering grades 6 to 12 at the pavilion near the swimming pool in Jackson City Park. Football

n Southeast camps: The Southeast Missouri State football program, under coach Tony Samuel, will hold two camps June 27 for high school players. There will be a 7-on-7 tournament for quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, safeties, cornerbacks and linebackers. The cost per team is $200 and each team is guaranteed five games. n Central camp: Central coach Rich Payne will host a free camp at the high school for players in grades 9 to 12 from July 27 to 31. It will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each day. Info: payner@capetigers.com.

n <B>Youth camp: The second annual dream team youth football camp, for players in grades 3 through 6, will be June 22 to 27 at the rugby field near Arena Park. The camp, which will be run by Southeast Missouri State football team members, will run from 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 to 26 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 27. Golf

* Southeast football tournament: The annual TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) Southeast football golf tournament will take place Monday at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. The four-person scramble is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., with registration at 11:30 a.m. and lunch served at noon. Players who don't have a team lined up can be assigned to one. Miscellaneous

* Splash and dash: There will be a swim/run event today that begins at the Central Municipal Pool. Distances are determined by age -- adults: 500-yard swim, 2-mile run; 7- and 8-year olds: 50-meter swim, 1-mile run; 9- and 10-year olds: 100-meter swim, 1-mile run; 13- to 15-year olds: 200-meter swim, 1-mile run. * Physicals: Central Junior High will offer physicals for anyone interested in participating in a sport during the 2009-10 school year. Physicals will be offered July 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the junior high nurse's office. Cost: $20.

* Notre Dame camps: Notre Dame coaches Brad Wittenborn and Jeff Worley will host camps at the high school Monday to Friday. n Capaha Classic: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the 22nd annual Capaha Classic 5K run, children's 1-mile run and 1-mile fitness walk July 11. The 5K course will wind through the rolling hills of residential Cape Girardeau, while the children's run is a loop around Capaha Park. Cost: $10 before July 1; $16 from July 1 to July 10; $20 on race day. n Southeast Missouri State camps: Southeast Missouri State's track and field staff will host sprints and hurdles camps at the Abe Stuber Complex for boys and girls high school age and younger. n Central junior high camp: Central Junior High School will host a free camp July 15 to 19 at the field house. The camp is for players in grades 7 and 8 and will run from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
