* Southeast boys camps: The Southeast Missouri State men's basketball program, under new coach Dickey Nutt, will hold several camps this summer. A team camp for club teams, varsity, junior varsity and junior high school teams will be June 5 and 6. An individual camp for players ages 11 through 18 will be June 7 to 10. An individual half-day camp for players ages 4 through 10 will be June 8 to 10 (all sons or grandsons of past and present Southeast men's basketball season ticket holders can attend this camp free of charge). * Southeast girls camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's basketball program, under coach John Ishee, will hold several camps this summer. * Summer boys league: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor its annual junior high and high school summer boys basketball league for students entering grades 7 through 12. League play is scheduled to begin June 2 at the Osage Community Centre and A.C. Brase Arena. Games will be played Tuesday evenings. Registration fee is $225 per team. * Jackson camps: Jackson will host boys basketball camps at the high school. An individual skills camp for players in grades 3 through 7 will be June 29 to July 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $50 if preregistered; $55 at the door. A shooting camp for players in grades 3 through 7 will be July 13 to 16 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost: $50 if preregistered; $55 at the door. A little dribblers camp for players in grades kindergarten through 2 will be Aug. 3 to 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost: $40 if preregistered, $45 at the door. Individual workouts also will be available with the Jackson coaching staff and focus on shooting fundamentals, post moves and ball handling. * Southeast camps: The Southeast Missouri State football program, under coach Tony Samuel, will hold two camps June 27 for high school players. There will be a 7-on-7 tournament for quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, safeties, cornerbacks and linebackers. The cost per team is $200 and each team is guaranteed five games. * PGA tournament trip: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor a trip to Memphis, Tenn., for the final day, June 14, of the Stanford St. Jude Championship at the TPC Southwind. The bus will leave the Osage Community Centre at 6 a.m. Cost: $60, which includes a one-day admission to the tournament and transportation to and from the course on a charter bus. Info: 339-6340.
* Southeast football tournament: The annual TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) Southeast football golf tournament will take place June 15 at Kimbeland Country Club in Jackson. * Hershey's meet: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the 20th annual Hershey's track and field meet at the Central Junior High track May 21. Registration will be from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m., with events beginning at 5 p.m. The meet is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14 in Southeast Missouri. * National Running Day: The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host a staff-led walk/run June 3 at 6:30 p.m. on the Cape LaCroix Trail at the Osage Community Centre.
